FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What do you believe?
That God, who created heaven and earth, loves each and everyone of us.
That
Jesus is the Son of God, who once lived and died on earth and was bodily
raised from the dead so that we could have everlasting life with God the
Father.
That the Holy Spirit is with us today helping us to know more of God’s
love for us.
Do you really believe in that
Bible stuff?
Yes. We consider the Bible to be inspired by God so that we might have
some understanding of him. See, for instance, the book of John, chapter
3 verse 16. And when we study part of it every week we find that it is
as relevant to us today as it must have always been.
Was Jesus a real person?
Yes! History books as well as the Bible tell us he was. Historians of
the day and the people who lived with him witnessed his daily life as an
ordinary person. But they also witnessed that he was more than this,
especially after his resurrection. The Bible tells us that he is indeed
the Son of God.
Why didn't God stop Jesus being
killed?
Because God loves everyone this was the only way that our separation
from him could be bridged - Jesus really did this when he died for us. A
fuller answer to this question can be found on our page Finding God.
Do I have to be a good person
to attend your church?
Everyone is welcome at our church, whether they believe or not (especially
if not!). The Bible tells us that we are all what it calls sinners
whether we go to church or not.
